I Don’t Like Star Wars

Woohoo! I got my marks back from the spring semester and I got a C in the course I was sure I’d failed. That’s really surprising. I can only assume it was a benevolent mistake. Anyway, I’m fairly happy with my range of marks (A- B B- C) considering how stressed out I was during finals season.

Last night, Tony and I (mainly Tony, of course) installed Redhat 9 on Trinity. It’s a bit slow compared to Windows 2000 (I always thought Linux would run faster than Windows) but it’s really purdy. I’ve got a dual-boot thing setup. If I like Redhat, I might dual-boot my laptop, too. It all depends on how well Wine works, I guess. However, Windows, in general, is much, much prettier.

Anyway, I’m in the process of downloading music for a new audio CD, “Muzak to Drive To”, which is going to be all car commercials. I love car commercial music, especially Mitsubishi’s stuff (I love the new ad with “Start the Commotion” in it). It’ll also be fun to have the Vibe music.

Yes yes yes! Mitsubitchi commerical music is great… its very ‘feel-good’. Even if they play an oldish song it still makes you want to watch the ad.

Do you guys have the Vodafone ‘cellphone’ carrier? They are in Australia and UK but not sure about north america, but they have this new ad out that glues me to the television because of the music. It’s very powerful.

Don’t particularly like the new Mitsu Lancer, it’s very boring… looks like its been designed by someone stuck in 1995… but made with modern components.

I’ve seen Caldera Unix before and that was pretty++… haven’t seen redhat. tried to copy it but the bastard who had it guarded it with his life and i didn’t want to pay $90 for it.

im not downloading a whole CD on a 56k modem… plus my provider cuts me off after 4 hours of continuous connection :( max i can download in a session is 45mb.

Better get earthlink, I downloaded 125 meg file one night with 56K. Took 10

hours.
