Oh, great. Just great. The Americans are electing a chief of cybersecurity for the office of “Homeland Security”. You know what that means: someone who might actually know what the little padlock icon in his browser means.
Seriously, though, this is bad news for the entire world. Since almost all of us are running American-made software in numbers that far outweigh the foreign stuff, any changes made to laws “for the benefit of the American people” (read: for the benefit of spying on EVERYONE) will directly affect everyone. Some old, upper class white man will be controlling how we use computers and the Internet. Be concerned.
In other news, Mike’s entry for the MuchMusic Temp 2003 contest is complete. He and Steve spent the last two weeks or so working on it, and it’s quite good. I will post a copy online once the contest is over — Mike doesn’t want it up until then. It’s about 53 megs of Div-X goodness. Quality.
I saw Bruce Almighty last night. It was excellent. I love Morgan Freeman’s acting, so having him as god was quite amusing. Hey, I’d worship him. Sacrilege aside, the movie was entertaining and brought up some interesting theological questions from time to time. One has to wonder if a god really would ever want to take a vacation.
Some of the humour was subtle, and a lot was way over the top, but overall, I think it was a great movie. I give it a 0.9.
We actually had all intentions of seeing The Italian Job (or the Italian Jorb as I like to call it). However, it turns out that it isn’t in theatres until next Friday. Go figure. Stupid misinformation. Anyway, I really have to stop seeing car action movies, and any movies that make pulling off a big crime look glamorous. I can just see Mike trying to talk me into hitting Fort Knox because he thinks he can pull it off. Right.
Anyway, I have to go. To do a number one.

Funny how they’ve got someone to do homeland security… we have just had someone appointed here to look after terrorism and national security too. We always copy stupid America. Our politicians are so paranoid about terrorism, they should just blow up Indonesia and get it over and done with.

and the answer is yes they do have live streams this year.
i’ll try to find the crack again so we can watch it for free coz it’s a pay per view service as it was last year (i sent you the crack to last years one but it doesnt work for this year).
