Oh, no! Mozilla Firebird is no more. What’s that? It’s been renamed to Firefox? And version 0.8 is out? Wow, that is pretty great.

I don’t know about you, but I’m going to go download it right now. I’m actually not all that pleased that it comes with an installation program now — I like doing things manually — but the new features sound sweet. The fact that it will no longer mess up .wmv downloads is enough to warrant the download by itself.

Back on the topic of the post. When i’m at home I use Firebird, well now Firefox. But when i’m at work on my G5 I use Safari. They both work better than IE and show the sites properly. Only Safari doesn’t have any of the greatness of Firefox. ALso both are developed off of Netscape, neat eh.

I’m loving Firefox so far, but it has a couple issues. Somehow, when I first installed it, the scroll bars completely disappeared. I had to delete my user settings to fix that one. It also seems to freeze up when I go to certain sites like http://www.nationstates.net
Steve
Odd I poked around that site and didn’t lag for a second.

There a few comments on Dunstans site about scroll bars disappearing that you might like to look at Apollo: http://www.1976design.com/b...

Tony
Mark, is there any way to find out what category each linkpool entry is in? I just deleted a linkpool entry (posted twice) from newest, and it took me a bit to find where the second entry of it was (everything). Is there any way to find out what category its in?
Mark@School
Yeah, mouseover it. The category ID number is in the tooltip.
Steve
