December 25: Happy Christmas

Hey, everyone, I'm back. And, um, so is my server. I'm not sure what went wrong there, but it's fixed now (sudo apachectl restart fixed it, but I swear the DNS was broken earlier). I didn't have any Internet access whilst in Florida, save for two visits to the Apple Store at the Florida Mall for five minute email checks. Contrary to popular belief, I didn't explode without the Internet, although I did start craving Wikipedia access pretty badly by the second or third day. I actually started a text file on my desktop of things I wanted to look up in Wikipedia, and then I had an article reading marathon last night when I got home. Dork? Indeed.

December 16: Going to Moon. BRB.

Excitement: I leave for Florida in about 4 hours. I can't wait. Our basic plan is:
It's going to be a blast (I hope), so wish me luck. Anyone who wants a postcard should email me their address, and I'll try to actually send them this time. :)

December 11: IRN-BRU

Something obvious dawned on me last week: there's a Pete's Frootique on Spring Garden Road, five minutes from work.

Pete's Frootique sells IRN-BRU.

Needless to say, I'm very happy with this development. I'm currently enjoying a delicious can of IRN-BRU and wondering how I missed something so obvious for the past six months. IRN-BRU, for those who don't realize, is the best pop in the world. Seriously. I love it, and now my work life is is that much better.

Not much is new here. In the past week, we've gone from no snow to lots of snow and back again twice. The ground is currently bare (except for a few straggling snowbanks) and it's pretty nice out. I'm pleased that we've finally had our first snow and I'm not so insistent on us having snow now. My needs have been met, although I certainly wouldn't be sad if it was to snow again.

Anyway, back to work I must go. Florida on Saturday, woo!

December 04: It's just Wii-diculous

I just bought yet another domain name. These things are like Pringles — once you pop, you can't stop. I remember reading something along those lines (maybe benbrown.com?) but it didn't sink in until today. I bought wiidiculous.org, because I have a very neat idea for something geeky that relates to the Wii, and it's a funny name. We actually spent some time at the office this morning throwing around good Wii-related names, such as Dan's idea, wiiner.com. I like wiidiculous.

Anyway, it's wet and rainy and miserably cold and despite best wishes, there's still no snow. I'm this close to moving to Switzerland.

(I hear they have snow there.)
