Fajitas! And Soufflés!!

Joy of joys, I just had the best supper in aaages: Janet and Katie are over, and they made fajitas. I haven’t had fajitas in a long time (original plan: burritos — the bean/no-bean ratio was deemed to be unfavourable for the burrito). We’re waiting a few minutes before Katie prepares some chocolate soufflé action, which will be epic. In the meantime, we’re watching Hard Candy*

(Fun fact: the main actress, Ellen Page, is from Halifax. Go Halifax.)

. So far, it’s pretty good.

General life status update: things are good. I bought a toaster today, which is the domestic highlight of my week. We had our Science Symposium on Saturday night, which Katie won. I barely managed to get my wonky homemade electric motor going in time for the presentation, which was pretty cool. I’d like to make a nicer version of it sometime — it’d be a fun project. Katie’s presentation was on “neanderfoot”. Everyone did a pretty god job, and the snacks were great. I think we’re going to do a full-fledged science fair next time.

Anyway, I’m losing track of what’s happening in the movie, so I shall bid you good day. Until next time, world.

I went to school with Ellen Page. She was a couple years behind me, but we were in an after-school program together for a while.

Amusing to see someone famous when you remember them when they were four feet tall and missing teeth.

Talk more about the soufflee’s they were awesome and Janet yelled at her’s and made it shrink. She looked very happy afterwards cause she conquered it.
